Catfood For Angelina and Brad

I have never eaten this version of otak-otak before, but looking at the photos in Meor Factor a few months back, I just have to try it....




Even though my version of it looked a wee bit runny and did not look the same as the original recipe (perhaps too much santan and not enough fish), but the taste was simply superb (if I may say so - ehem... masuk bakul ni). The recipe states 500g of fish, but I bought only one spanish mackerel weighing not even half kg and after the head was taken out, it became even less... :)


The leftover chilli paste that I made for the otak-otak (I didn't use all of it in case its too spicy for Ilham), I reused it the next day for my mussel recipe. It too turned out tasty.



Thank you Cats, we really enjoyed it :) It now has a new name in our household, The Meow Otak-otak.....

Tk, its my first time making otak2 and its daun kaduk, sedap u....

The recipe is from Meor Factor, go to Feb 2010 - Protein Power For Yummy Mummy. U must try it :)

eh how come I missed that recipe?..kena cari semula ni..

looks yummy my dear, I love otak2 cos byk ikan, hehe...but first I have to "get to know" daun kaduk!..I'm very bad at remembering all this daun2 or even fish..hahaha..

When I first saw that recipe & the yummy photo, I made a mental note to look for the daun kaduk. How happy i was when i found it :D
